About Me

Hi, I’m Jason Levin. My career started when I found tech Twitter.
I was studying English at Rutgers University, but thought the only way I could make decent money was by learning to code. I wanted desperately to be a full-time writer, but I had no real portfolio and no credentials to get a high-paying job.
So, I did a coding bootcamp called Lambda School, learned SQL and Python, and got a job as a data engineer at American Express. Suddenly, I was making more money than my professors. I knew it was time to drop out of Rutgers.

I worked as a data engineer at American Express for 4 months while I built up my online reputation as a writer. During that time, I freelanced for a DAO called Cabin and a web3 product studio called Late Checkout. In April 2022, I was hired as a Staff Reporter for The Defiant, a leading DeFi news site. I worked there for 5 months and built up my Twitter audience to 11,000+ followers via viral crypto threads.
At the end of August 2022, I left The Defiant to build my freelance content writing and ghostwriting business. I have a large roster of clients across web3 — primarily venture-backed web3 companies and founders.
I now live in NYC with my girlfriend and dog. Outside of writing, I spend my time reading, exploring, and hanging out at coffee shops with my friends. If you’d like to get in contact with me, feel free to reach out on Twitter or LinkedIn. Always happy to grab coffee or talk on the phone.
